Actually, Bush is first and foremost, an MBA. You can see his business education and training (as well as that of Vice President Cheney) clearly in his actions. Unless a person is phenominally lucky, in business the path to success is to spend money up front to reap rewards later.

This appears to be just what Bush is doing ... spending money to solidify the GOP political base for the long term.

Now you can call that kind of investment just being a "pandering power whore" ... but would you prefer to have Hillary as President, Dingy Harry as Senate Majority Leader and Nancy Pelosi as Speaker?
