It is also interesting to note that all that "consulting" that Bush did with the 'RAT senators for the O'Conner seat, he did not have to do for Reinquist's seat. By renominating Roberts to that seat, he effectively side stepped doing that process again.

Now all Bush has to do is produce the nomination for O'Conner' seat and watch the 'RATS have, not a cow, but a whole herd.
