Big Brother is going to do a whole lot more than just watch you. And if the intention is to protect children, why do they need to track you all your life?
I bet it will cost 10 times what they project, and saying that nobody will have access to a person's full file is bunk. I'm sure that sys admins for it will be able to crusie around the files at will. Might be able to set up a nice little black market deal selling info from it too.

That, is just plain scary. When I think of the stuff I pulled in high school with my friend, Ruth, wow...
We found out that if you smoke in the snack room that you are supposed to be cleaning, don't throw that cigarette in the trash can and sit on it when a nun stops to engage you in conversation...
But,
The city still hasn't corrected my address after 20 years of trying. It is still the vacant lot across the street. I think data will eventually overwhelm the sheepherders.

If they REALLY cared about the children, they'd collect them at birth and put them in state-run centers. That'll keep'em safe.( /Brave New World.)

If they were interested in protecting children they would crack down on their country;s rampant sex-perversion and pedophilia.

When the U.S. started the Social Security program, they said our SSN would never be used for purposes of identification.

The Dutch should pay attention to what is going on in Aruba with the missing American college student and stop this socialist foolishness. Letting the only suspect leave the island and go to Holland to attend college is a major slap in the face of that poor girl's family and her country (USA).

But organizations can raise "red flags" in the dossier to caution other agencies about problems, ... Like, she's as Freeper; keep an eye on her."

And yet everywhere you go, it's REQUIRED, for things such as a drivers license, bank loans, job applications, etc.
What a surprise! NOT!

I think data will eventually overwhelm the sheepherders. No. they'll just create another government agency to handle it.

The Canadian Gun Registry is a case in point. The costs to maintain a simple database tracking the ownership of an object are way beyond what was reasonable to expect.
Imagine all the things the Dutch government might like to track? Imagine having to add a category for something after-the-fact like a childhood disease or a new innoculation? What are you going to do, go back and gather data on ALL the children previously entered into the system? What would that cost? The cost & effort would approach that of taking a national census -- AND it would be ongoing.

Um, I think something like this was predicted by a prophet long before Orwell.

They seem to be doing just fine on their own, anyway...
