Now human nature being what it is, and NO is what brings forth the discussion it is NOT about taking from the haves and giving to the have NOTS.
It is the fundamental 2nd amendment right and how in a declared disaster that right is null and void by virtue of said disaster.
Now in terms of a disaster, if said person chooses to and pays for protection that is not the issue. The issue is what is it about declaration of a disaster that give government the authority and power to remove only certain individual, legal law abiding citizens 2nd amendment rights.
The hired help no matter how good, is only as good as the character of the individuals hired. What is to stop the hired help from being part and parcel of the looters inc.?

I've been explaing the "what is it" part. Paraphrased: "it" is the fact that some people are willing to give up their rights, while others are not; those in gated communities have made it abundantly clear to all that they are NOT willing to give up that right, and WILL exercise it upon ANYONE breaching the gate in an unfriendly manner; those outside have not made the same clear point, and indeed have all handed over their arms upon request or a little posturing & shoving.
There is no question that the confiscation order was given, applies to all as stated, and is fundamentally evil.
My point is: it's not that the order was specifically rendered upon one group and not another, it's that the order is much easier (and safer) to carry out upon those who will meekly submit than upon those who will say "NO!" to the last round.
