She said "have a hard time getting all their people to work on a sunny day," and truth be know, some people do fail to show up, typically due to accidents, etc; sometimes due to congenstion caused by construction and what not.
Anyway, her excuse is lame on its face; and to boot, it was worded so as to be more likely to be taken the wrong way (impugning city emplyees) than what she meant.
If that's the meaning she intended to convey, it's like saying nothing at all. Now, THAT's what I expect from a U.S. Senator, many words with no meaning.
Well. As long as she's 'fighting' for me, that's all that matters, isn't it?
