I believe that the air has gone out of the pro-choice movement. They have accomplished everything they desire, with the exception of taxpayer funded abortions which they know they will never get. (The Hyde Amendment, passed in the late 1970's, guarantees that no taxpayer funds will be spent on abortion, and in my opinion this is the single most important piuece of pro-life legislation ever passed. Most people don't know what it is.)
Thus there is really nowhere else to go. Even under Clinton the pro-life movement made political gains. (Getting the ban on partial-birth abortion vetoed was a huge plus for the pro-life movement long term.)
To quote Rush, they are Pro Choice only if the choice is to abort.
