That information makes it even worse. He should have had the ENTIRE nursing home evacuated BEFORE the storm hit.

Those people look like a bunch of incompetents. When I was charge nurse on a med/surg floor many years ago, we had an evacuation plan for fire, etc. I live in the south central part of Virginia, so we don't have floods, etc. If we had, we would have had an evacuation plan and would run drills just like we did routinely for fire, etc. My staff would NEVER have left patients to die.

Here in the Coastal areas, Nurshing homes bug out WAY ahead of anyone else. The one on the beach evacs so often that the residents ask about "when are we going to go on that big ride to the country again?"
