Another authentic hero of Anerica gets pushed to the background. Of course, it was the Democrats providing the bulk of the backing to eliminate the Lincoln holiday. Democrats have been against Lincoln for 145 years now.

I saw it coming back in the '70's when my daughter's social study text book allowed one entire paragraph to Abraham Lincoln. Youngsters need heroes. To change a culture take away the proven ones and substitute the failures. That'll give 'em something to reach for, eh?
