Haven't read the posts, so don't know what others think, but I think this is ridiculous.
It's even on the cable stations. I don't like that kind of music; I don't like most entertainers, and I don't like their phony pleas for help.
I already donated to the Salvation Army, Noah's Wish and my church. I certainly won't donate through this.
Fortunately, the sci fi channel is soldiering on with new episodes.
Grrr.

His escape. He crawls though a sewer pipe which empties into a pond of some sort............there's a thunderstorm happening..........he's all smelly from the sewage............he rips off his shirt and lets the rain wash him clean.

was that when he escaped????
To: MozartLover
yes...I remember that part now... : )
To: nicmarlo
Right after he escapes through the culvert he is all muddy and it is raining. At that point he rips off his shirt and raises his arms to the lightening riddled sky in triumph.

What an opportunity to perhaps have your daughter bring the sparkle into that little girl's eyes.
Sounds like she could use a caring and helping hand.
To: sfimom; MozartLover
yes...I just was remembering the escape...that was a cool part in the movie...I think it's time for me to watch it again, lol...
To: MNJohnnie
His acting is so authentic. He strikes me as one that would really do/say the things his character does/says. Just doesn't seem phony or made up. (and of course that sexy accent lol)

I'd forgotten Randy wrote the score for The Natural.
That was great. They still play it at Ranger games when someone hits a homer.
