Raised in Pittsburg Cali and left soon as I was legal age.

I am white raised in an Asian family.
Crazy white girl hated by everyone LOL

My son dated a Blonde haired blue eyed girl in high school, she was half Blackfoot Indian raised in her native Indian culture and hated for her skin color so she moved to a white community in Utah.

I raised my son in a predominately white community like 95%. Told him what racism I grew up with and not to ever judge one of God's children by skin color and be your own man.

However my upbringing did have some effect on his flavor of music and he loves going to cultural events.

We just prefer living in a rural Conservative white community.

If my skin color was not such an issue growing up I would not have chosen to migrate up here to a Dutch community.

Racism sucks no matter who is on the end of the hate stick.

Glad to see younger people crossing those barriers with no qualms. Kudos.

Thanks for your post! Oceanperch, what Dutch community do you live in? I live in Winters, CA (north of Vacaville) but my ex-husband and I bought our first home in Pittsburg, CA.
