Excellent report. May they all get better and better, and I pray for the little one to be comforted and have grace for such a physical trial -- for God's angels to soothe and minister peace to him as he heals.

Such wonderful news for all (including his aunt!!).
Our prayers continue in the healing days ahead for Alex' complete and uneventful recovery takes place.
You know we all have now adopted him as one of our own!! Alex now has more aunts, uncles, gramps and grams than his mommy and daddy ever thought possible!!

Dear Lord, we rejoice with the news that Alex is doing well and a healthy shade of pink. We praise You for answering our prayers and for guiding the hands of the doctors. IT is very conforting to know that there are this many wonderful FReepers praying for my new little nephew.
I think yesterday was the longest day of my life.
I was just so very worried!
I do not have any info on Alex this AM...and Iam going to work today.
So, I will add an update tonight.

Praise be to God, through whom all things are possible.
"I never thought that I could get so excited about a
poopy diaper. Alex's kidneys, bladder and other
organs are coming back online. He did his first bit
of business this evening. I know that in a few weeks
I won't be so excited about this type of event.
However today I'm ecstatic about this event. His
breathing is getting better too. He almost can breath
without the respirator. They tell me that little
babies do better than adults with this kind of
surgery.
Since we are in a critical care section of the
hospital most of the relatives of the patients have
sad or serious faces. Whenever somebody gets a smile
all the rest of us swarm around to hear their good
news. It helps the rest of us to believe, hope for
the future. Renee's and my hope is for a healthy baby
boy.
Well, I'm off to get some sleep.
