I have not seen any locally organized 9-11 related memorials listed here.

Are there any planned in your community?

This is one in LA.

******

For those outside of the Los Angeles area we strongly encourage you to hold vigils in your community on the morning of September 11th! We must remember the attack on our nation and the ongoing threat of Islamic extremism!

For those in the Los Angeles area we are holding the 9/11 Sunrise Vigil!

In downtown Los Angeles, at 5:15 AM as the sun rises, in the Mall area of the Kenneth Hahn County Hall of Administration Bldg.

located behind 500 W. Temple Street, Downtown Los Angeles

another thought :

I know that 5am is too early for some people, but,
Holding a vigil (before church) in your community, seems like a good idea to attract the most people with the least schedule conflict.
