My opinion is that this shows the weakness of an arm of libertarian opinion as represented by "dance to a different drummer" congressman. Likewise there are weaker members of the liberal eastern wing of the Republican Party. On the whole, I guess I am glad that this fellow caucuses with the Republicans, but I find his ability to critique his own fellow republicans more severely then the democrats to be tiring.

That is one of the most beautiful, poetic versions of calling someone a "putz" that I've ever read! ;-)

Nice comments. And really, you have to wonder what's in Paul's head. If the wimpier members of the GOP got what they want, we would be a weaker and less free nation. If the Dem caucus gets what they want, we'll be headed for gulagland. So who does Paul spend his time criticizing? Republicans, and he spends more time shooting at the conservatives than the RINOs. It's like being in WWII and hating the French while the Nazis are bearing down on your position.
