Another thing I find interesting is the excuse (made by some freepers) is that if these people stay in their homes it just means one more body to feed and hinders the cleanup. B.S.
Does anyone believe that these people are going to stop eating if they are bussed out to Texas? We can get food to them at the Astro Dome or Kelly AFB, but not to New Orleans? I don't see why not.
Give them the shot and some food and water and soap, if they don't have it already, and let them stay as long as they like. It's their house, or at least it used to be. Isn't that cheaper then putting up somewhere else?
But hell no. Take their guns and kick their asses out. It just doesn't make any sense.

Maybe they will have to leave eventually if it really is dangerous. But why, after leaving them unprotected and without food and water for a week, are they so worried now? What's the sudden rush?
Starve them out, take their guns, forcibly haul them away? It doesn't sound like America.

NO: DON'T GIVE THEM FOOD AND WATER AND SOAP. If they didn't prepare, don't help them, maybe they would leave.
Give them a letter disavowing protection for them, mark the house as "searched", and move on.
People can take individual responsibility.
