I think it's just the opposite -- there's a lot more of the Pass left than Waveland. Waveland was essentially wiped out. Look at the helicopter videos on www.WLBT.com.
I was looking at satellite pics, but it didn't cover both communities fully...you might be right. But Waveland did get hammered. I can't imagine trying to have waited out the storm there.
