So .. the way I see it .. if the FEDS were late - Blanco was to blame .. not the FEDS.

In more ways than one. She refused to admit there was civil unrest in NOLA. That too delayed:

Rescue at a hospital
Flotialla for search and rescue (being shot at)

... for 24 hours. And in the midst of this civil unrest, innocent people are being killed, raped, maimed, and generally made to suffer torment. Just so she could put on a happy face and say "everything is going to be just fine, there is no serious unrest."

And there will be no repurcussion that matches the malfeasance. She'll resign and have a cushy rest of her life, at worst.

What happened in the hospitals because they were under seige is a story waiting to get out. People could not be evacuated by ambulance because people outside were trying to carjack the ambulances, in an area where the road was passable. People died because they were at least 24 hours more hours without adequate electric power than they could have been.


The f'in mayor is worried about the mental health of his police force. I have yet to hear word one about what the nurses, doctors, RTs, etc in the hospitals endured - watching their patients die one by one.
