The U.S. auto industry is really in trouble -- recent GM developments prove that -- and it all ripples down to quality of their products because that is what is being cut to provide for the socialistic union-pandering overhead costs that are KILLING this industry, just like it killed the steel industry in this country...

You got that right. My uncle is a retired union official from one of the big three.

One of things that the union turns a blind eye to is the industry building plants in Mexico and South America using cheap labor to boost profits which a huge portion goes to American unionized auto workers.

Well, if the unions don't kill them, then the combination of unions and product liability class-action lawyers certainly will.

I've scanned the list of comments and noticed not one disparaging word about Toyota, which announced a recall on the very same day. I believe with more vehicles affected. HMMMMMMM!
