Oh for god-sake. I'm so sick of all this whining and hand-wringing. Anyone who expects perfection or even near-perfection from the government is a flippin moron. Tens of thousands of people were rescued and evacuated over the course of a meager few days, with very few casualties except for the frail and sick and those who stayed in their homes.

I for one think the entire post-Katrina response totally rocked. And that's coming from someone who rarely, if ever, thinks the government does anything right.
