Thank you! Now, I ask that FReepers not stoop to the level of our DU guest, and just answer the points directly if at all.

Sorry. I answered some of his points before I read this post. I probably wasn't very nice.

And the battle is joined . . .

Fresh from the dumpster:

Neocons:

We don’t have you by the short hairs, Bush and Cheney and Rove and Fallwell and Robertson and the rest of your alleged leaders do. They treat you like sheeple and you baa baa baa your way through the blogosphere and to the voting booths where their absolute control over your actions and loyalties are converted to power -- power for themselves, their contributors, their cronies.

As your commander-in-chief, who went AWOL in the Guard and is afraid to face even the grieving mother of a fallen soldier, is caught in blatant lies and trying to cover his own ass by heading his own investigation into what his branch of government did wrong, the most you can do with your frustration is write a cowardly, puffed-up, from-behind-the-keyboard challenge to liberals who have had the horrible misfortune of saying “I told you so” while bodies pile up in New Orleans. Your frustration with the world looking at our country in disbelief of the shell it has become is misdirected, as it always has been and always will be, toward the very people who have been fighting day in and day out to stop the stripping of the capital and human resources that has left us so incredibly devastated by one of the top three “Worst Possible Things that Could Happen.”

As to your assertion that you “are going to beat anyway,” only a modern-day neocon who tried to run the last president out of office over a blowjob but happily licks the boots of one who lied our country into war, could look at the destruction and loss of life in New Orleans and freak out about the very possibility that the leadership responsible for the resulting deaths might be held accountable for it. It is particularly telling that signs of desperation are appearing as proof that the governor of Louisiana and Mayor of New Orleans acted properly in requesting Federal help and facilitating evacuations, has emerged on scene, effectively stomping out the week-long attempt to put the blame for federal mishaps on local shoulders.

Finally, regarding your challenge to “bring it on,” you may wish to choose different language. Although you undoubtedly ejaculated in your trousers the last time a Republican used “bring it on” language, it hasn’t worked out too well so far. That said, rest assured that we’re brining it – someone has to restore genuine leadership to this country if we are to recapture the greatness that has been lost over the past five years. And, just for the record, we’re not intimidated by chickenhawk sheeple who support wars they're afraid to fight themselves from the comfort of their air-conditioned home offices.
