With 1000 bodies floating around in the swamp that was once New Orleans you think they are going to bother doing ballistics on 1001 - 1003? As long as the bodies are off his lawn by morning no questions are likely to be asked.

Of course if he was defending his life, home and property no questions should be asked anyway. But then again I'm kinda pro 2nd amendment in the first place.
