Agreed. He may have done things differently pre-Katrina- no way of knowing- but at this point this is a sensible decision. We are in the midst of crisis- while the left plays politics- we need to focus on solutions.

I think this plan was an option all along, should Renquist die.
I give the staff and the President credit for being able to put together plans for such scenarios.
Katrina was unplanned, as were the problems.
