What good what it have done in the rescue efforts and the victims, for Bush to get on national TV and blast the effort of those in charge and on down the line???

The only thing it would have done, is give the MSM, the hack, and the dems a chance to blast Bush for blaming others, and not taking the responsibility...

I think that Dubya is the kind of "boss" that believes in encouraging people instead of denigrating them and their efforts...at least in public...I have NO DOUBT that he has told a few people in private that he is NOT HAPPY.

Also, Dubya is consistent...he has never cared what others think, and he isn't gonna start NOW.

It's all a matter of timing. He did, without naming names, say the results were unacceptable.

I just wish he had said that, oh, 24 hours earlier. And it would have been good for him to acknowledge some breakdown of civil order in NOLA, and that restoration of that was a priority. The problem with that is he would be stepping on the governor's authority and responsibility to maintain civil order in the first place, so he's sorta caught there.

It's a minor quibble. I was very happy with his speech on Saturday morning, and I was less than impressed with hearing congratulatory speeches (just between the politicians and bureacrats) when the city of NOLA was under 15 feet of water and there was a widely reported serious breakdown in civil order - said congratulatory speeches coming earlier in the week. They're all at the WH website. It's an easy cronology to follow.
