Right now they are evacuating and rescueing people. After this is accomplished they shift to finding them places to stay temporaily. At this point they join the milions that already did this on their own before the storm hit. Everyone then we will file, they'll have to, for losses. Some will have insurance and be covered. Others will be benfieficieries of the public aid and government aid being joined together. In the end just about everyone will be better off than before. New homes, new cars, better heathcare, employment opportunities from citizens wishing to help get them on their feet that will get a number of these people off welfare. It'll take time, but excepting for the grief of lost loved one, pets and memorabilia, in many ways they have the fresh start so many always wish for.

Thank you. Heartless as it may seem, I'm at the point where the only ones I'm caring about are the good citizens who obeyed the evac order. These are the folks who took responsibility for their own safety and did not cause the authorities to risk life, limb and treasure to save them. I just pray that they won't fall through the cracks with all the political posturing going on.
