But getting these proposals out of the House -- where Republicans have a 28-vote edge -- shouldn't be too difficult. And under congressional rules, none of these bills may be filibustered by obstructionist Senate Democrats. Thank goodness for the House trying to reign in spending. If I remember correctly, a large part of this is because of Congressman Mike Pence.

Unfortunately the first items to fall should include the Gravina Island Expressway Bridge and the Don Young Way, two Alaska bridges grossly unneeded when you consider the real needs of the numerous people of Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama...and more to come.
