Me, too. Guess some of the cops down there have decided to swing from doing nothing to shooting at everyone.
Did you hear FNC just address the shooting?
They're trying to investigate to see if this shooting or another involved armed contractors, perhpas mistaken for thugs.

I'm trying to understand what the poster is actually getting at. There's this bit of a suggestion in his posts, that something is "suspicious" in the shooting of 6 armed people on a bridge. I want to hear what his gut is telling him. Just saying: Wait for the facts, is one I do support. But the poster seems, to me, to be suggesting something else. Ergo, I brought up "Mai Lai", and because that's the impression I'm getting that he may be suggesting.

The NOPD has been clearly over their heads from day one. 2/3's deserted and the ones that are left are probably stressed beyond belief. They can't handle the situation.
The entire region needs to be federalized with DoD in control.

I suggest leaving it as is, other wise most of the opening comments will come off as rather, umm, misplaced.

Then you will know the attacks on Bush have resulted in a backlash and also that the public is blaming the Gov and Mayor
