I hope to G-d that they were bad guys, because if it were "friendly fire" the MSM is gonna run with that one.

Even so, it's going to be hard to find justification for killing SIX people. This smells bad of overreaction. How do you figure that?

I've heard about DU for years but never went there. I wish I had stayed away.

Looks like the CNN reporterette is "feeling their pain".
Frankly, if the dead thugs were the ones shooting at the rescuers I hope they felt some pain before they departed this vale of tears. I suppose that isn't a proper Christian attitude, but I can't help the way I feel so I may as well express that feeling.

If the NOPD wasn't fired upon, this could be bad. This could be armed citizens.
To: SpringheelJack
you must not have seen the press conf yesterday...the PD and Feds said they would get those people...
they dont have crips and bloods and mexican mafia like most US cities, but drug lords etc.... those are the people stuck in the city
To: SpringheelJack
Even so, it's going to be hard to find justification for killing SIX people. The city is under a cordon. I hope the victims were criminals, and not good guys just determined to leave via a route other than the approved evacuation means.

If they were armed and threatening the police or other citizens, then they got what was comin' to them. But why do some Freepers who hate when Blacks turn everything into a "Race Issue" turn everything into a race issue?Exactly.

The MSM needs to NOT be in New Orleans. They are obstructing.

Like I said before, if the shooters were white and the "armed citizens" were black, it's up for grabs.

I seriously doubt it's good guys with guns..the good guys with guns and sitting in their businesses and homes waiting to protect them against the people out walking around with guns..these HAD to be bad guys..IMHO

Because it's not very common for six people to ever be killed by the police in one blow. And what with the stress and fatigue as a result of Hurricane Katrina, I figure the chances of someone overreacting are high.........
