This is merely a jobs program for liberal democrats--counselors, psychical-holistic mood assesors, evaluators, and the like.

Did they ever find the hero who shot those 2 out of 3 child molesters?

"and fall up, and fall down, and fall up...repeat as necessary."
That is what my Drill Sgt recommended for AWOL returnees...
I didn't agree unless they became trouble makers.

But by DSHS' most optimistic projections, the annual per-resident cost will be more than $500,000...reminds me of the time twenty years ago when the chief psychiatrist of this state's mental health system (himself usually just this side of psychosis) decided to prove that with enough individual attention - personal psychiatrist, social worker, fancy digs, 'round the clock nurses and aids, etc. - he could "cure" a manipulative, somethimes violent, usually predatory sociopathic young man - the bill for that one, annualized, was about $100,000/year - and actually the staff did manage to shape their subject's behavior to be socially compliant enough that he was released from the hospital after about ten months......
...but without the structure of the institution and the constant efforts of the staff he quickly reverted to his old habits, attempted to rob some old man on the street, and ended up in jail - he soon hatched a plot with his cellmate to pretend to hang himself with the understanding that the cellmate would call the guards after he had been suspended for a few seconds, thereby being saved from "killing" himself and hopefully getting transferred back to his home in the hospital - unfortunately, characteristically he had apparently not treated his cellmate very well during the brief time they had been together, and the cellmate claims that he fell "asleep", thereby allowing this brilliant young man to actually strangle to death.....
...good luck to Seattle and those who live there, both in and out of their institutions.....

"Should've just shot him."
You are absolutely correct. And the next five to follow.

They haven't named the "resident", but I'm guessing it's the same juvenile freak that has been in the news this past year.
He's so out of control anyone or thing that bends over in front of him is in danger. He set elaborate traps for female social workers and jailers.
We have to take the gloves off with these pervs and start protecting society, not protecting them from society.
