I've read all four pages several times, and am still not clear that the Friday references is August 26th. I've looked for a place in that article to e-mail the reporters and ask, but don't see how to do that.
The article appears to describe events occurring after the storm.
Good Morning - good to see the thread is still running -can someone update overnight news? I did hear last night that Chief Renquist has passed.
My husband swears that the talks way back when on the "plan" for a levee breach assumed that it would be massive and fast and tens of thousand would die.
He says the problem is the breech didn't occur as fast as they thought it would. So people had time to get up high, to get to the dome, etc.
So the problem was the leak happened over time. If it had happened faster, there would be no survivors on the order of what we have here. Just bodies. And everyone would be in funeral mode. Not rescue mode.
The plan was not to rescue at all assuming very few survivors.
does this make sense?
