First Sgt. Ed Martinelli helps Master Sgt. Timothy Palmer put on his pack as they prepare their belongings, with other Army National Guardsmen, Friday, Sept. 2, 2005 at the Mesa Armory in San Diego. The National Guardsmen are being deployed to New Orleans to help in recovery efforts from Hurricane Katrina.

My hat's off to those National Guardsmen. They've been doing a lot of the heavy lifting the last couple of years.
