New Orleans' top emergency management official called that effort a ``national disgrace'' and questioned when reinforcements would actually reach the increasingly lawless city.

Talk about chutzpah. Hey, Mr. Tough Talkin' Top Emergency Mgmt Official, you have babies and old ladies dehydrating on rooftops. Before you sing us a chorus of "It's all Bush's fault", tell us just what success any plans you made have been and WHERE THE HELL are the local LA government officials who should have mobilized for this?

First and foremost, I think this whole disaster really shows we should start a civil defense or training of somesort in all communities for able bodided men to help out etc etc. I guess it does not help when the most able bodied are partaking in other activities.
