Bush was, however, slow on the draw IMO to demonstrate leadership in the form of a bullhorn moment to rally the troops down there. It wouldn't have changed very much from a logistics standpoint but it could have helped motivate workers and changed the perception a bit.
If I were to list overall blame, Bush would so be so far down the list as to not be noticed. The locals have made this much worse than it needed to be.
Are you saying the coast guard pulling thousands of people off their roofs starting Tuesday morning weren't motivated enough?
Are you saying the police that did try to hold and protect positions in NO from day 1 weren't motivated enough?
