I believe the cable newsers are playing it their way to entice the audience to tune in to gruesome 24/7, while ABCCBSNBC are back to their regular programming.
I've stirred the pot around here plenty by saying the news reporters should have been hauled out of there two days ago...while other FReepers are demanding to see dead bodies.
Some of the most amazing reporting posts I've seen on these threads the past couple of days has been from the scanner and local streaming feeds - imo.
Shepherd Smih and Anderson Cooper need to be REMOVED physically.
why should the truth be sanitized? like 9/11 was sanitized by not showing the people jumping from the towers. this caller OReilly just had on, is he lying? OK, I will admit that focusing only on the bad news and not mentioning the good news - is much like the media's coverage of iraq. but I still want to hear these stories.

Thanks for the input. I too have noticed a propensity for some to call for the bodies and body counts. Once it degenerates to the point where CNN/FOX show the infanticide live, because of the "popular demand", we shall find out who cannot be pried away from the bigscreen replays.
Decency and compassion have been tossed under the bus for ratings.
