Not to mention, as a former Iowan, there are plenty of black people in Iowa. Des Moines and Davenport for starters.
Yes, we don't don't get into the ethnic thing here like many parts of the country.
Its more where (what town) you grew up.
I've noticed that many other parts of the country are very aware if you are Italian, Irish, Greek, whatever.
It's great that people know their heritage is, it keeps life interesting.
To me it's much more important what somone's values are.
