What strikes me is that on Saturday or Sunday (I think it was Sunday but someone will correct me if I'm wrong), the mayor and the Governor called for a mandatory evacuation. Less than 24 hours before the storm struck.
And they only did that because, as they admitted in their 10:30 press conference, the president called and pressed them to order a mandatory evac.
I just listened to the freaking 'Reverend' Al Sharpton on WDSU. He says the people out there looting the big screen tvs and guns are not the poor people. They are the people that live from paycheck to paycheck and are enraged at the infrastructure of their city collapsing because of the politicians. He said that Nero was fiddling down in Crawford while Rome burned.
So he is making excuses for the people that are raping, shooting and looting. They are disgruntled taxpayers.
There are not printable words to describe what I think about him and his statements.
