Thanks. I think Hastert was clear that he didn't mean don't rebuild, but rather approach it in the most sensible fashion, meaning don't rebuild below sea-level.

Blanco should know that by now, but she really seemed to be lashing out.

She is losing it. She was demanding an apology, and she better get it, etc, etc. She doesn't have much room to demand anything considering the billions of tax dollars that congress is going to "consider" in aid.

Now the reporters are saying the comments are out of line (Hastert's). UGH!!!!!!! Trying to justify rebuilding because we build in tornado and earthquake prone areas.

They do make building requirements for people who live in earthquake prone areas. These reporters are clueless.

Blanco is incompetent, but is looking for political cover - we shouldn't faciliate this by having our republican politicos saying New Orleans should be bulldozed. Instead, our guys should be pointing out that Blanco is incompetent.
