"don't forget to add the looting explained by the drug addicts looking for their fix. actually said." Speaking of Looting I wonder what kind of fallout will come from pictures of those police officers looting DVDs and Radios and shoes an such and then a goodly number of those same Policemen leaving NO and basically deserting their posts.

Thanks for proving my point; you are completely detached from reality.Only partially......... give me a break....... I live in a city that has been governed by Dems. since the 30's.
Again......... I'm real sorry for jumping to conclusions on your comment! I was very wrong.

We've seen a parade of reporters, Harry Connick Jr. and Jessie Jackson all go to the civic center and talk about the starving and dying people. It reminds me of a thing that some comedian said.(I think it was Bill Engvall) He was talking about seeing reporters beside a starving child in Africa and all he could ever think was that he wanted to tell the reporter to put that camera down and give that baby a sammich.
How come none of these people didn't just turn around and go fill up their trucks with food and water and go back right then and there? Am I wrong here? Wouldn't all of you do the same thing? Even if you couldn't bring enough for everyone in the first load wouldn't you keep going back? This is something that puzzles the hell out of me.

12:19 pm Finally!
This convoy coming down the street is loaded with supplies. I see MREs and water and I assume ice.
Ok, so the troops used to restore order went in first and now the supplies are coming for orderly distribution (I hope). "
This is the beginning of a flow that took three days to establish and nail down.
The cops and Guard have held for the most part and the gamble to do the relief effort right, instead of throwing units and aid piecemeal into a black hole as they arrive will now pay off.
Heh.
You're about to see New Orleans and the Gulf Coast BURIED in drinking water, food and aid.
Let it roll.

This will not be pretty as I have completely lost it with your sorry biased comments and news coverage.
I hope God will forgive me for the language but I am raging inside about what message your are disseminating to the country and the world.
How embarrassing your are to good patriotic citizens.
I am ashamed to call your brother citizen.
Just what in the hell has the liberal left done.
Nothing at all.
Jessie Jackson goes down for his photo opt and takes not one bottle of water to the starving people.
Well he is the biased medias savior so you made him and your stuck with the sorry bastard.
Piss on your negative coverage.
Some of your reporters sound like ratings whores.
As Archie Bunker would say "PUT A CORK IN IT EDITH"

"The NO voters lists are gonna need some major revisions.." The NO congressional Districts will effectively be null and void for the 2006 election.

"Kerry in this situation might be too much like Blanco at the Presidential levels..."
Kerry would probably try and pass the buck onto the UN. After that, blame Republicans and the rich (Not his wife and big donors of course).

(Anyone who votes for Democrats after Aug. 26, 2005 are dead to me.)
Is that the historic Warehouse District that's on fire? Lumber that has cured out for over a hundred years will burn like matchsticks. They won't be able to put it out.

I WASN'T TALKING ABOUT USING TRAINS AFTER THE STORM. I was talking about for mandantory evacuation before the storm.

Metropolitan Phoenix, Arizona is somewhat of a safe place to live, and that's probably why so many have come here over the last several years. As a fellow AZ FReeper, let me ask...
Q. Why don't we get flooding in AZ ?
A. Because our Gov. is the biggest "dike" in the world? ;-)
