Can you grow a beard on a plastic face??
joke---I love shep, he's soooooo um pretty
Apropos of nothing...I keep thinking the corruption in LA state politics is like the older books by Stuart Woods- like "Chiefs"...he could do a masterful job telling this story..not of the hurricane and aftermath necessarily- but the backrooms deals, the nepotism and all the rest that led up to the chaos within the local government we're seeing.
I know- a useless waste of band width..:)
No shooting of looters? How about marching some of them off in handcuffs? Maybe that would have an affect.
In the earthquake and fire in San Francisco in 1906, there was looting. And the Army was called out. If memory serves me, a few looters were shot. I'm tempted to say civilization hasn't improved in 100 years. Anyway, looting is one thing; shootings, beatings and rapes are another.
his specific ideas are nuts - but the general idea, that we need some conservation right now, is accurate. its the fastest way, the only way really in the short term, to deal with the current supply shortage.
whoa , anyone listening to BO'R with the phone call from NO??
So they weren't going to be eating anyway, is that what you're saying?
Paula Zahn carrying water for the DNC this evening as usual... at least she is at the right network now.
I think the buses are moving again to the Astrodome.
I hope she was rescued!
Promote this man immediately.
Amen.
Excuse me?
Welcome to the thread, Smartass cracks like that will get you into the deep doo-doo quickly.
I guess so.
Does Shep have a beard yet? If not, that means he has access to water or power to shave. Why not share?
Nope fill me in.
I'm sure there are a great many kind and good people who live in N.O.....in days to come...I hope we see them more on t.v., than the criminal element which is now thriving in that area.

7:04 P.M. - WASHINGTON (AP) -- The military expects to put 30,000 National Guard troops on duty in the Gulf states as demands grow for more security and relief assistance, the commander in charge of military relief and rescue efforts said Thursday.
About 24,000 of those will be on the ground in Louisiana and Mississippi in the next three days, Army Lt. Gen. Russel Honore said in a telephone interview with reporters at the Pentagon. He also ordered the amphibious assault ship USS Bataan from the Louisiana coast to waters off Biloxi, Miss., to assist with hurricane relief operations there.
The additional Guard units, plus active duty troops responding to the disaster, brings the total military complement to more than 40,000.
Anyone listening to this poor guy on Fox?
You know, I hope all the whining SOBs who cry about the poor criminals are watching this. Moving patients to get them away from looters? What is this? I would hope that all the people who rationalize the behavior of American criminals would just shut up.
I remember before the storm even hit Shep Smith was interviewing folks in the Quarter and asked one guy why he had not left with the hurricane coming in. The guy said live on the air...none of your !@#$*&% business. I was hoping for a reinterview of this moron to see if he's changed his mind.Anyone remember that interview and anybody ever see this guy again?
