Any able bodied person, should have left. I mean how many actually left and stayed?
Amen!
Take it easy on the Red Cross. The International organization stinks, but you can not say that all of its domestic operations are a joke. Houston's RC is now putting up 4,000 folks from NO in their shelters in Houston. With all the hotels full they are taking in anyone who needs a place to sleep and food. They may be there a long time given the conditions in NO and elsewhere on the Gulf coast.
That is not Bush's fault. Those buses should have been part of the city and state plan.
Yes, I've heard that spin today.
But let's take that a step further.
These people are, for all intents and purposes, the Democratic Party base; the Democratic Party controls Louisiana and has, for as long as I can remember, told us that they are the party that takes care of the poor.
Why didn't THEY take care of their constituents and make plans to get them all out.
It's a vile smelling herb that promotes sleep:)
We obviously made do without the well for that period of time and some after. The point was that fema was very responsive.
bttt
Game, set, match. Exactly the point.
Tel New Orleans will not resemble New Orleans outside the CBD/Quarter. The lower 9th will be abandoned to the sea.
In all that stuff you've gotten stashed on your computer about these storms, do you know what the wind speeds were when she left the state?
And is there a map that shows all the areas she impacted?
Work with me here, I've got this great theory going.......LOL.
They looked alive and healthy to me. That's key. Focus should be on the people trapped in houses and dehydrating. Of course there would be some in a crowd that size needing medical attention. But by and large they looked healthy.
N.O. School busses. Yes sir.
I'll have to go to my local health food store. It can't be worse for me than taking sleeping pills.
BTW, they just said that the Astrodome took 11,000 people before saying 14,000 would have to go elsewhere.
Still three days before the huge national guard deployment arrives on the scene.
