Exactly. From what I have been able to see, the entire region was simply not prepared for the worst impact, which did happen. Now we see the end result.

One thing I DO fault is the Democrat leadership for both New Orleans and LA for not preparing for something after 9/11 as money was being given out for cities to prepare for something similar to 9/11.

While both MS and AL seem to be working through their problems, New Orleans and LA are crying for help and not doing as well as one would expect.
