Taxpayers have been paying for those living in hurricane areas for some time now. Insurance companies spread the higher premiums to everyone to make up for the losses.
I understand that, and am only moderately unhappy about it. But most of those living in hurricane areas are living above sea level. It really doesn't make sense to build in that situation again.
