Please help and please -- don't stop praying. There but for the grace of God is me and you and those we love. Whether we know someone or not, in those places shattered by Katrina and the failed levees, we are still our brother's keeper. We must keep these folks, who are still in harm's way, close in our prayers. If we are able to help materially or financially or through volunteer efforts, let's do that, too. Thank you in advance, one and all!

Amen! "Blessed is a humble, broken spirit". Katrina is breaking the heart of America. Only good things can come from such a humbling. Get ready for revival, and the latter rain outpouring of love, joy , and peace the "whole creation is groaning and travailing for!"

Where or to whom will my money go if I chose to donate?
Since I do not know, I can only offer prayers for the innocent and helpless, but not the rampaging and looting thugs.

Call the Red Cross Chapter in your area. They are looking for volunteers to go to the effected Gulf states for at least a ten day stay for aide relief work and are running people through training courses online.
This is a true national disaster. The sooner we all help pick up the pieces the less the damage there will be to us all.

(Earth to liberals, we were not in Iraq on 9/11 so how did the war cause terrorism again?)
