Hagel Denies Support for Sheehan (Sheehan lied)

I just spoke with Senator Chuck Hagel’s Communications Director Mike Buttry. There have been two recent rumors swirling about Senator Hagel. The first rumor I reported on The Buzz last week that Hagel was planning to leave the Republican Party to run as an independent candidate for president in 2008. Buttry told me, “That’s not happening. Absolutely not.”

The second rumor comes from Cindy Sheehan herself. Sheehan made a claim that amongst others, Senator Hagel had called her to express his “support and love” for her protest of the war and President Bush. I asked Buttry if this was true and he told me, “Senator Hagel has never met with nor spoken to Cindy Sheehan.” I asked him if Hagel supported her cause and again he made it clear Hagel does not.

We're seeing a growing trend of desperation and paper trail of lies from Cindy Sheehan. She mistakenly claimed President Bush was golfing during Hurricane Katrina. She even went so far as to claim the president's environmental policies are to blame for the disaster. And now, as the rest of the world moves on, Sheehan is trying to create the illusion of support for her cause.

Hagel has a track record as a Bush-bashing RINO, so it's not hard to believe that he did kiss up to Cindy. He realized after talking with her that he had made his bed among moonbats, and that it could come back to haunt him in the future. Faced with that, he reverted to the old deny, deny, deny political tactic.

Who is helping Cindy Sheehan organize her anti-war rally in Washington D.C. on September 24th? None other than International Answer, the group with ties to communist regimes and expresses solidarity with individuals including Saddam Hussein, Kim Jung Il and Fidel Castro. The group's banner fro the rally reads, "Stop the War on Iraq!" The protest platform reads as follows:

Okay, Hagel. You want to be believed? Say it publicly.

I agree. If Hagel's relying on his flack to speak for him, it's not believable.

Flacks are hired to either lie or obfuscate for their masters.

I've had experience with this recently. In my area of NJ, a local Republican pol running for governor publically bashed Tom DeLay and called on him to resign. (What Tom DeLay has to do with NJ gubernatorial politics is beyond me. But the pol had to grandstand I guess).

I told the pol's campaign manager I couldn't vote for a guy who bashed Tom DeLay.

The flack just flatly asserted to me that his master had never, ever said such a thing.

But he had. On statewide TV.

I think that Hagel and Jones didn't call her. It's very hard to imagine Hagel pledging his 'support and love' for anything. Well, except owning more voting machines than he already has.

However, the fact that she has this list of contacts leads me to consider something else.

What if Cindy's new anti-war buddy's placed fake phone calls to her to pump her up as their very own wind-up Hanoi Jane doll? These are Commies and they are quite devious in manipulating their useful idiots.

I think Sheehan has been captured by unscrupulous ideologues. She is no longer anywhere near the real world and they're going to keep there. I wouldn't be surprised if they're drugging her heavily as well.
