Appeasement, eh? That really worked well for Neville Chamberlain, didn't it?

And as for "what is Taiwan to us"...how can you ask that with a straight face? You do know the people of Taiwan are free, democratic, autonomous and have been an reliable ally of the U.S.?

And then there is the strategic impact of just handing them Taiwan on a silver platter, besides all of our remaining allies quailing in terror over such an incredible cave-in when our mettle is tested...there would be the new dynamic of a China controlling all of the South China seas...read Steve Mosher's book:

So, a nuclear war with China would be worth it? Why can't those "remaining allies quailing in terror" rescue them? Why does it always have to be us?
