Fact is, we got military help into the tsunami area within 48 hours, and $100,000,000 of MY money (and yours) on the spot in days.

I'm myself beginning to wonder what's holding up the rescue effort. From what I've seen the reports of civil unrest in NO have been greatly exaggerated. And even if there was civil unrest, why haven't they sent in the military to take care of things? Like you said we had rescue assets in fricking Indonesia faster than in New Orleans! People are dying of thirst at the New Orleans convention center which is not even flooded. Why can't the National Guard airlift water there? Is there anyone in charge of the whole operation and coordinating logistics etc.
Someone on another thread stated 5-7 days for relief in the tsunami disaster..can you verify the time??...but you have to admit...the prevailing attitude of the people in NO is "hep me...hep me"...I have seen interviews and reports of people whom did prepare and have water and food...and guns...and they can wait a week or so for help to arrive...
Seems to coincide with the periodic influx of the GOP Big Tent RINOs, liberals and moderates. Hard to maintain intellectual levels with these Kool-Aid sippers cluttering up the place. We need to displace them with more conservatives. Lots more.

We had a CV within reach, and airfields for larger AC. Also, once the tsunami was done, so was the danger. Not so with a hurricane.

We were there but the scope of this was beyond the imagination of any. Perhaps you need to READ the NEWS and COMPREHEND what has gone on or spend your time at a liberal forum - your mindset is identical to theirs.
