Well, according to the left it IS all his fault.
I'd like to see her "swim for it" instead.
So, she said she wouldn't stand for it. Did she take to her bed?
I said it yesterday and I'll say it again. Remove the Governor and the Mayor and bring Rudy in. They are incompetant and I hold them responsible for the increasing chaos and violence that far outmatches anything the other states are seeing.
The situation in NO is disgusting. The politicians didn't do anything to get people out of the city soon enough. They were worried about getting sued or losing votes from another possible near miss. Now they don't want to stop the looting, no, the pillaging of New Orleans. Why even bother fixing the levees? These are the residents of this city. With this behaviour, the city needs to be buried, not rebuilt. The whole place is turning into Mogadishu and the elected officials are doing everything they can let it happen. And I thought Detroit was going to be the first city-turned-thrid-world-cess-pool.
My guess is that they're both out of harm's way -- although Baton Rouge has also experienced looting/rioting, it's safer than NO for the dem darlings.
Blanco: "It wasn't supposed to be this way" (stamping foot) -- "you're our constituents, and we've done everything we can to keep you helpless and victimized -- where's the gratitude?" (end translation).
As for Landreau, she was positively salivating over all the federal money she saw coming her way (read re-election) as a result of the storm; and you can bet she'll blame everything, including the animalistic behavior of her constituents, on the federal gov't. She was/is positively nauseating.
Tough talk from a scared rat.
