I was watching CNN last night at 11:00 pm. Friggin fox was showing repeats of O'Reilly.
Aaron Brown was trying to do the same thing to the FEMA director. The FEMA director took Brown to task by replying that there are still dead people in the water and people on roofs needing rescue. FEMA guy says book him a few months down the road to be on his show to take blame, now he had more important things to do.
CNN coverage stinks. It is a blame game for them. I keep hreading from FR posters how great their coverage is. What I saw was disgraceful.
I've complimented CNN when they got it right and I'm not ashamed of that. This time they have it wrong and it is politicallly motivated.
I scan them and MSNBC when there are commercials on Fox. Sometimes you can only stand it for a couple of seconds and other times they do a pretty good job...they did a nice piece on the mother who had six in Iraq (husband and kids at different times).
They do that every night. That's what they do.
Harry Shearer (?sp), Hollywood screenwriter, did the same on MSNBC last night. Talked about how Corp of Engineers had done NOTHING to fix the levees. At least should have sandbagged. Mentioned local TV reporter flew over yesterday and nothing was being done. Oh! the incompetence of the FEDERAL effort.
No mention of the previous attempts (musta gotten script from mayor).
Of course, no mention of Bush declaring this a national disater area prior to the hurricane hitting, no mention Bush had to nudge the gov to declare a mandatory evacuation, no mention of local incompetence in planning for something we have all known was going to happen.
Hell, I am 51 and I have heard of this scenario most of my life.
Caution: the only freepers that even watch CNN are RINOs..
