For once the Germans are right. We need to expand our refining capacity. It's a strategic concern that I wished the President had addressed today. We also need to increase our production of crude oil - drill the Alaskan wildlife refuge already! All of Iran, North Korea, and China are building Nuclear power plants. When was the last one we built?

We need to start hunting environmentalists and their attorneys in the hills with hound dogs.

We have oil much closer to us than ANWAR, though we should drill there too. The federal waters off the CA and FL coasts have oil. That oil belongs to all of us. The President should declare an emergency and tell the drillers to go out and get it. CA and FL would still be standing tomorrow if he did, only now they could stop being the energy slackers they have been for the past 60 years. If that seems too harsh for the environazis, then cut off all petroleum products to CA and FL until they have a change of heart. It is a crying shame that Texas and Louisiana are paying $3/gal for our own oil when these states refuse to share the load.

Bush will never do anything to increase our energy resources. He hasn't made an issue of it and it looks like even with 25% of our capacity hit, he still won't Coupled with his support of illegal immigration and expansion of government spending, we have the ultimate RINO in the White House. Congress is silent on the subject, too.
