If it means anything, I have a buddy who is conservative at heart, but because he is immersed in a liberal environment, tends to adopt liberal positions on issues. Just this evening, I raised the spectre of Landrieu blaming the president for the hurricane. He just laughed at the desperate political games the RATs are pursuing. It obviously wasn't going to sell with him.

Yeah, but can't you just hear the rustle of keyboards in the distance, churning out a new round of blame-Bush propaganda? This might easily be the largest single Bush-bash yet which is saying a lot after Rathergate.

You know, I can almost smell it coming...

I have no doubt they will try. I only hope that the public perceives their nihilistic cynicism.

Dear George W. Bush,

This White House has, as usual in such situations, been masterful in dealing with hurricane Katrina. The American people are not going to cotton any cheap political shots from the left.

Everyone knows, and is told before a storm strikes, that individuals are pretty much on their own for 48-72 hours. We did not even know that the levees in New Orleans broke until Monday night. No one realized the extent of flooding there until the sun came up on Tuesday morning.

Yet boots are on the ground now and more help is on the way.

The fact is, and I know this is not anyone's focus right now, the President's poll numbers are going to rise as a result of first rate efforts by those he leads. FEMA, the DoD, Coast Guard, DHS, HHS, etc. are in good hands because they are headed by good people. The Bush administration gets boo-koo credit for that.

Don't let the gas prices get too far out of hand, and there is nothing to worry about on the political front.

- AC

Check out P-J Commix threads in bloggers and personals.

The blame-game started at DU on Monday.

A lot of them forgot, once again, to take their meds. It's hilarious!
