This whole thing seems like one long twisted Door's song. Time to go to bed and see if I can't get this lousy tune out of my head.

Prayers for all the good and decent people affected by the hurricane. I know I'm supposed to pray for my enemies as well, so I pray that the child rapists and cop shooters and looters all be brought to justice.

My God. People on this thread have made excuses, said the number of thugs is teensy, that people are just hungry and poor.

What we are reading about is people who have gone feral. People who have abdicated being members of the human race. People who look human outside but within have the hearts of animals. Worse than animals.

Lest anyone think I am painting all with the same brush, I am not. No doubt there are many - tens of thousands - of unfortunate residents (former residents) of NO who are virtuous, normal people.

But the percentage of subhuman scum is not tiny. The sooner "shoot to kill" starts happening, the better.

And I could give a **** what color any of them are. I don't have a TV, all I know is words on FR, and the occasional picture. People who steal, loot, rape, shoot at rescue workers, prevent the rescue of the sick, the elderly, the starving - need to be removed from the face of the earth.

The natural disaster administered by water and wind is not the tragedy here. It is human malfeasance and human evil that is the real tragedy.
