Hwy 49 is closed below Hattiesburg except for emergency vehicles.
I wouldn't try any side roads down from Laurel, those are two-lane roads that I can just about guarantee that are blocked.
It took my brother0in-law 6 hours to get from Meridian to Hattiesburg on Hwy 59; Good luck.
I thought about coming down thru Alabama and then cutting across at Jackson Alabama and cutting down thru towards Moss Point or so
sounds tuff
they will still need water in a few days
